The Pre-Employment Manager is responsible for coordinating the delivery of client services that are based on individualized goals meant to develop pre-employment skills. Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding program services, policies and procedures. Assist in the coordination, implementation, evaluation and oversight of the Transition Services Program. He or she helps ensure that Pre-Employment follows guidelines set forth by funding agencies and accrediting bodies.
Duties:
- Hire, train staff in best practices and provide technical assistance and resources to staff for needed skill development for clients to obtain pre-vocational goals.
- Observes performance of staff and provides objective feedback and evaluations as needed; provides as resource in creating staff development plans
- Directly and immediately supports with any staff issues regarding best practices in providing services, staff management and scheduling
- Support or oversee client ISP development and makes recommendations to staff regarding proper support and training to clients
- Develops individual teaching strategies and methods
- Provides support and resources for developing behavioral support plans for clients and dealing with any related issues
- Cultivate relationships with businesses and volunteer sites to develop prospective opportunities in community
- Provide training to employers and volunteer sites
- Arrange a variety of volunteers sites in the community based on customer skills and interests to assist staff and clients
- Professionally market services and opportunities to all levels of agency staff, board members and community partners
- Schedule team staffing meeting to discuss expectations, outcomes and recommendations.
- Ensure agency paperwork and customer files are current and meet funding requirements.
- Complete all necessary paperwork within specified timelines.
- Ensure punctuality and effective productivity.
- Accurate timesheets; accurate mileage/reimbursement due at end of each month
- Assists management team with development and implementation of client performance baselines and continuum of services
A successful candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities and knowledge of support services
- Must have sound knowledge of funding sources and funding requirements, labor laws, HIPPA compliance and accreditation standards
- Must have supervisory and emerging leadership skills.
- Ability to maintain positive professional relationship with clients, families, employers, and community members
- Must be able to manage and embrace change
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors' degree in Human Services or related field required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with developmental disabilities.
- Other: Must have reliable vehicle, driver's license and valid car insurance.Ability to work flexible hours to include but not limited to days, nights and weekends
