Child Care Teacher

Easterseals Joliet Region seeks a creative, fun, energetic, and patient Full or Part-Time child care teacher who can bring their passion for working with children to the role.  We are currently seeking a qualified part-time teacher who will work Monday - Friday, from the afternoon to the close (5:30pm).  

Responsibilities

• Employ various educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Requirements

Must meet DCFS licensing standards for preschool teachers (example: 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university related to child care and/or child development)
At least one year of experience working with children ages birth to five

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour - top of the range if you are Director Qualified
