Occupational Therapist (OT)

Do you have a passion for working with children? Easterseals Joliet Region, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. This position requires no evenings or weekends and part-time hours during the summer with full salary pay. Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate clients referred for occupational therapy services using established evaluation procedures and standardized assessments.
• Develop treatment goals, plans, and objectives based upon the initial evaluation and program requirements, and update plans per Agency policy.
• Develop and provide coaching for family members and/or clients to incorporate new skills and/or techniques into normal routines and activities at home.
• Instruct family members and students on the proper and safe use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.

Eligible for loan forgiveness under Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
