Position Opening – Agency with Choice Coordinator

Location: Kent & Sussex county

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking an AWC Coordinator to be a part of our Agency with Choice Program (AWC). The AWC Program assists individuals and their families under the Lifespan Waiver through the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services with the hiring and management of their caregiver(s). We are looking for someone who is well-organized, has effective time management skills, and excellent customer service. Qualifications:

• Exhibit good organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent customer service and experience with individuals with disabilities
• Able to manage multiple task and projects.
• Knowledge in writing daily casenotes.

Job Duties:

• Enrolling, monitoring, and assisting participants, families, and their caregivers.
• Assist with balancing and managing the participants funding for the year.
• Train the participant and caregiver on the electronic system, Therap.
• Assist participants with their attendant’s payroll issues and/or discrepancies.
• Meet with participant and their family quarterly and as needed regarding program services and processes.
• Collaborate with Division of Developmental Disabilities Services regarding participant services and support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with disabled and/or aging population
• Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years’ experience
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply!
• Experience using the Therap system is a plus.

This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position Monday- Friday 8am-4pm. There is county-wide travel associated with this position. Must have reliable transportation.
