Project Manager/Estimator
Essential Functions:
Full scope project estimating and management to include all work needed to successfully evaluate the project, create a proposal and manage the project from its inception to completion. Duties include:
- Evaluating bid specifications and drawings, soliciting pricing, and constructing a proposal which is profitable and reasonable to the client
- Negotiating the contract if applicable
- Managing the project to include buying out subcontractors and vendors, negotiating subcontracts, tracking project profitability, managing change, negotiating change orders
- Managing the client and actively developing a relationship with the client
- Working with field management to ensure the project is understood and they are following the intentions of the plans, specs, and how the project was bid
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Working knowledge of MS word, Excel and Project
- Basic knowledge of AGTEK a plus
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Education and Work Experience:
- Higher education to include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management highly encouraged with Professional Engineering license a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in underground utilities (sewer, water, drainage), site development, and road construction
