What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist / Office Assistant position at Eastern Regional Pain Specialists?
EXPERIENCED front desk receptionist needed for a busy, growing, medical office. Outstanding verbal communication skills, a warm and outstanding manner, and excellent customer service and organizational skills are required of the candidate. It is also essential that the candidate be dependable, efficient, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic. Monday-Thursday 7:45 am-4:30 pm. Candidates must have:
Experience as a medical receptionist.
Experience with EPIC a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the clinic for opening and closing each day.
Serve as the first contact for patients.
Greet the patients with a courteous and professional manner and welcome them to our office.
Check in patients upon arrival by providing initial paperwork, obtain copies of insurance cards and identification card.
Register patients, update patient records and verify insurance accurately and timely.
Determine, collect and process patient payments.
Answer and transfer in bound phone calls. Check voicemail and take messages if needed.
Respond promptly to patient needs and provide excellent customer service.
Schedule patient appointments.
Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports.
Complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports. Prepare deposit.
Maintain an organized front desk.
Maintain the tidiness of the waiting area.
General administrative tasks as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
