Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dishwasher to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for sanitation, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, and be committed to supporting the overall food service operation.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment and manually clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support kitchen staff as needed.
- Ensure all dishes and kitchenware are properly sanitized, stored, and organized for easy access.
- Support with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to maintain cleanliness during service hours.
- Follow health and safety standards related to sanitation, heavy lifting, and manual handling to prevent accidents.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during meal service or special events like banquets.
- Maintain a tidy work area by regularly cleaning sinks, floors, and work surfaces in compliance with sanitation protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or commercial cleaning tools is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of restaurant or cafeteria operations, including basic food handling and kitchen health standards, is beneficial.
