Position Overview
Big Fish is looking for dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwashers to join our kitchen team. Dishwashers play an essential role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment throughout service.
Responsibilities
- Operate the dish machine and properly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift
- Ensure clean dishes and equipment are returned to the appropriate areas quickly and safely
- Assist kitchen staff with maintaining a smooth flow of service
- Remove trash and recycling and maintain clean garbage areas
- Sweep and mop kitchen and dish area floors as needed
- Clean and sanitize sinks, work areas, equipment, and other kitchen surfaces
- Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Help with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries when needed
- Communicate with cooks, chefs, and management when supplies or equipment are needed
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even during busy periods
- Perform additional cleaning and kitchen-support duties as assigned
