Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Cashier (1st Shift) to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions efficiently while ensuring a positive experience. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting.
Duties
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling retail sales transactions with speed and precision.
- Manage cash drawer handling and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed throughout your shift.
- Assist kitchen or serving staff by setting up steam tables, restocking beverages, or portioning food items during slow periods
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and math calculations is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and balancing the cash drawer at shift end.
