Inventory Control Clerk

Position Summary:

Verify accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and other documents. Perform cycle counting duties to ensure that all material is properly verified and is reflective of reported inventory.  Will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers.  Will also assist the Purchasing Dept as backup ordering of material.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Cycle count materials which will be monitored by the Purchasing Department

• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and rack location reports.
• Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate.
• Process, check, measure material; place correct labels on bundles.
• Examine material for defects and report findings.
• Prepare forms and maintain records dealing with discrepancies and damage items; process RMA paperwork.
• Input material in computer system.
• Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Always maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Always follow all safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize duties; detail oriented
• Basic math skills, able to read a tape measure
• Basic PC knowledge
• Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, reach daily and as needed to perform all job functions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work in a team as well as independently
• Perform different job functions within the Purchasing department
