Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and facility guidelines.
- Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.).
- Guide staffing procedures within the facility.
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.
- Develop and enforce policies related to legal compliance and high quality of care.
- Oversee budgets and monitor expenditures.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia, and current/active CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility preferred, however, consideration will be given to strong candidates without such experience.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
