Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Star City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and food service to meet the dietary needs of our residents
- Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of food and snacks to residents
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas
- Label, date, and store food and supplies according to facility policies
- Assist with inventory control and ordering of food and supplies
- Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and implement special events and activities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 years of experience in food service or healthcare preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
