Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the part-time position of Dental Assisting – Adjunct on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida.
Salary & Benefit Position Concept Minimum Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position include:
- Associate degree in Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, or other related field from a regionally accredited institution. Bachelor degree or higher is required for Didactic instruction.
- Current Certified Dental Assisting (CDA) certification. Expanded Functions required for Dental Clinical Lab instruction.
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (CPR/AED) certification.
- Two years of current Dental Assisting experience.
- Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required.
- This position will require successful fingerprinting and substance screening. The candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fees (currently $36.00/$65.15). The fingerprinting and substance screening fees ($36.00/$65.15) are non-refundable.

- High school or GED diplomas or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
