Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Admissions Specialist II on the Titusville Campus in Titusville, Florida.
Salary & BenefitThe annual salary is $ 33,330.33. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Position ConceptThe Admissions Specialist II provides in-depth guidance and service to students related to the admissions, registration, and records processes. This position requires direct engagement with prospective and current students, utilizing effective communication strategies, including in-person appointments, follow-up phone calls, and email correspondence, to provide personalized support throughout the admissions process. The Admissions Specialist II ensures student confidentiality while delivering exceptional customer service in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies. This role requires proficiency in computer applications to perform essential job functions and requires some evening hours. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines are essential for success in this position.
Minimum QualificationsThe following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:
- Associate’s Degree from a regionally-accredited institution.
- Two years of experience working in an environment requiring strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer applications.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, efficiency, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a diverse community and meet needs of diverse student populations.
- Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required.
- A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process.
- This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay (currently $36.00). This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable.

- High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
Minimum physical qualifications:
- Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings.
