Project Scheduler
- Responsibilities include performing tasks related to the collection of cost and / or schedule data required to monitor project budgets and schedules. In addition to, applying the principles and techniques of resource monitoring to specific tasks related to a portion of a project through on-the-job training.
- Assist with the coding of purchase orders, subcontractor invoices, costs, quantities, actual expenditures, etc. for input into cost collection system.
- Calculate material / work quantity requirements (take-offs); monitor progress, percentage complete per work item.
- Calculate / prepare various comparison reports, charges and tables for project analysis.
- Assist in developing budget forecasts; assist in monitoring progress of work per cost account to assure adherence to budget.
- Assist in developing schedules and maintain man-hour forecasts; report schedule variances per established deadlines.
- Assist in analyzing work progress and developing subcontractor and craft productivity reports to document activity requirement per construction schedule.
- Assist in preparing special reports, studies, etc. requested by the client and / or project management.
- Assist in developing schedules for small portion of a project under close supervision.
- Responsible for safe working conditions within his / her assigned area of authority through the execution of the corporate safety procedures and adherence to established safe practices.
- Responsible for the understanding, execution, and enforcement of corporate quality standards within his / her assigned area of authority by identifying potential problems early and ensuring the project and company’s quality commitments are met.
- Assume additional responsibilities or assignments per supervisor’s and / or corporate direction.
- Technical Bachelors degree plus minimum 6 month heavy industrial construction cost / scheduling experience; or equivalent combinations training and / or related experience.
- Basic knowledge of resource monitoring techniques i.e. cost / budget accounting, CPM networks, plus basic understanding of construction technology, process systems and / or structures required.
