The Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical Centers are responsible for training members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters through their apprenticeship and throughout their career with the UBC. Our locations in South Jersey and Philadelphia are sought out by UBC Divers and Piledrivers nationwide to take advantage of our state-of-the-art training facilities. We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant ready to join an already bustling team with support, efficiency, and eagerness. This position will join the administrative team in supporting the Training Director and Coordinator. They will be able to communicate with the administrative staff on several campuses and work on teams on different sites and needs to have the ability to take initiative and be a self starter. This position will require knowledge in Excel and Outlook and be able to easily learn computer applications. Previous experience in a college or school setting would be ideal, as they will be working with intake, maintaining student records, and tracking industry credentials and certifications.
This position would be in person in either our South Jersey or Philadelphia offices.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones and have excellent telephone rapport to help our members.
- Maintaining student records, attendance, and grades in our TRAIN database.
- Preparing reports, memos, letters, financial data, and other documents.
- Communicating with members via text blasts.
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies.
- Handling confidential and timely materials such as applications and members certifications.
- Assist in the transition to a largely paperless system.
Requirements include but are not limited:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Exemplary planning and time management skills
- High level verbal and written communications skills
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.82 - $25.08 per hour
