 This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components of the position for Manager of Compliance Programs.


General
  

This is a full-time position that reports to the Head of People Services and interacts with all employees of the Company as a member of the People Services Team. The individual in this position will also interact with various government regulatory authorities such as the FAA/ Drug Abatement Office, OSHA, EEOC, Department of Labor, or others as required. The successful candidate must be able to represent the Company well and exhibit the values and culture of the company while working with all employee groups in a fast paced/dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the Team Member Experience Manager with New Hire Orientation;
    1. Ensure that all employees experience new hire orientation (virtual or in person)
    2. Create a comprehensive New Hire Orientation that gives Team Members a history of Eastern, Benefits Overview, Policy/Handbook Overview, Training, and a welcome tour.
    3. Send out an all-staff email introducing new hires.
    4. Create a first day experience that includes a gift such as cookies or a cupcake.
    5. Ensure that the new hire’s desk space is clean and stocked with supplies.
    6. Ensure that the new hire’s day is effectively scheduled with IT, and other departments as necessary.
  • Enter new hire into ADP and ensure that all new hire paperwork is complete prior to first day of employment.
  • Support Pria processing and employment verifications.
  • Support the Team Member Experience Manager with Performance Management
    1. Become intimate with the ADP Performance Management system to ensure records are up to date.
    2. Work with hiring managers to understand training plan for first few weeks of hire. 
    3. Work with department leads to ensure that introductory and quarterly reviews are completed.
    4. Ensure that all documentation supporting our progressive discipline process is adequately in the system.
    5. Ensure that all separations are accompanied with a separation letter explaining the reason for termination and steps taken prior to termination.
  • Support NPS Survey
    1. Support creation of questions that give visibility into all aspects of Eastern Culture.
    2. Construct quarterly survey and distribute to workforce.
    3. Gather results and quantify findings.
    4. Publish quarterly report of new findings and trends.
    5. Meet with departments to review NPS survey findings and actions on annual basis.
  • Support Policy and Handbook
    1. Ensure that policies in handbook are followed by workforce and make updates as needed and appropriate.
    2. Ensure annual Handbook open houses during open enrollment time to educate workforce on our policies and procedures.
  • Keep the pulse of the organization and make recommendations to the VP of People Services as necessary.
  • Separation Processing.
  • Ensure employee records are up to date and accurate.
  • Update of Organizational Chart, ensure alignment with ADP and Outlook.
  • Support Training and Development
  • Data and Metrics
    1. Ensure that People Services filing system is clean and easy to use.
    2. Weekly Pilot/FA Snap Shot.
    3. Support of Monthly Staffing Report.
    4. Support of People Service Dashboard.
    5. Various employee data requests
    6. Other metrics per request.
  • Performs and documents self-audits/compliance audits and compiles /maintains reports;
  • Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment / areas of responsibility;
  • Other duties as assigned by Head of People Services.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be highly ethical, trustworthy individual;
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Intermediate‐to‐advanced computer skills with intermediate keyboarding /data -entry abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment;
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards;
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test, and background check;
  • Eligible to work in the United States;
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
