English Teacher at Quinebaug Middle College High School

EASTCONN is seeking a dynamic, student-centered English Teacher for Quinebaug Middle College. The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, deliver engaging instruction aligned with Connecticut standards, and support students in developing strong literacy, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Integrate technology and innovative instructional practices into the classroom
• Support a positive and inclusive school culture
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut teaching certification required:
  • 015 English, 7–12, or
  • Other appropriate Connecticut English/Language Arts certification
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to student achievement and relationship-building
• Experience working with secondary students preferred

Salary & Benefits

Salary and benefits will be in accordance with applicable union contract, education and experience.
