Duties
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
- Support veterinary assistants with medication administration, laboratory testing, and sample collection to aid in accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and surgical suites using aseptic techniques to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Assist with animal catheterization, IV placement, and other technical procedures under supervision to expand your veterinary skills.
Requirements
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to effectively assist in clinical tasks.
- Experience with companion animal handling is a plus for diverse animal care needs.
- Strong understanding of pet care practices including pet nutrition, restraint techniques, and medication protocols.
- Prior veterinary assistant or clinic experience demonstrating familiarity with daily operations is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members professionally.
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
