Job Summary:
As a Human Resource Generalists, you will support all employees across the employee lifecycle. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer in implementing and improving all aspects of the human resource function. We are currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist. The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented and initiative-taking to assist in the various human resources functions.
Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and coordinating the hiring of operators and labors.
- Process all new-hire paperwork, including but not limited to, verification of work authorization, schedule of drug testing, insurance and 401k enrollment forms, and safety orientation.
- Updates and maintains policies and procedures and ensures labor compliance and adherence with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity, prevailing wage rate requirements, certified payroll documentation, and OSHA.
- Liaison for benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision/Voluntary) and retirement program (401k), including providing guidance on policy programs and procedures.
- Continuously improve safety programs, procedures, and training in compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and complete personnel files, status changes, and benefit elections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of direct HR experience; with prior experience in heavy civil construction preferred.
- Ability to lead training sessions and engage employees at all levels.
- Detailed oriented and initiative-taker
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to be a team member across functions.
