What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher-Guidance Counselor (Summer) position at EAST SIDE HIGH SCHOOL?
Qualifications:
- NJ School Counselor or Student Personnel Services Certificate
- Experience working with high school students
- Knowledge of high school graduation requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with staff, students, parents and the community
- Must be currently employed by the district
Additional Information:
- Must be able to work Freshmen Orientation (where applicable)
- Must complete summer responsibilities by specified dates
- Workday will consist of a minimum of four hours
- Three workdays must be scheduled between July 1 and July 16
- Remaining days must be completeted drring the last two weeks of August for scheduling
- Deviation from this schedule must be pre-approved by the Guidance Supervisor
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
- Pending budget availability
- All postings are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled
