The Teacher Instructional Literacy Coach will support high school teachers in strengthening literacy instruction, improving student achievement, and implementing rigorous, standards aligned teaching practices.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide coaching and support to Language Arts teachers through modeling, co-teaching, classroom support and feedback
- Support implementation of district English Language Arts curriculum aligned to state standards
- Assist teachers with reading comprehension, writing instruction, vocabulary, and literacy strategies
- Analyze student assessment data to guide instructional improvement
- Facilitate professional development, PLCs, common planning and data meetings
- Support tutoring, intervention, acceleration, and graduation readiness programs
- Assist teachers with pacing, lesson planning, and differentiation strategies
- Promote student engagment and achivement in literacy
