East River Contracting is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our Concrete and Framing Project Managers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys keeping projects organized, moving forward, and running smoothly from the office to the field.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating documentation, tracking costs, supporting project logistics, and serving as a communication bridge between project managers, accounting, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to Project Managers and provide daily project support
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
- Create and track Purchase Orders (POs) and Change Orders (COs)
- Approve credit card purchases and invoices
- Order concrete and coordinate material deliveries
- Handle permitting, licenses, and TERO paperwork
- Book hotels and travel accommodations for field staff
- Upload and distribute current plans and drawings to Procore
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with construction workflows and documentation (concrete/framing preferred)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and office software
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
