Organizational / Labor Relationship: Collective Bargaining Agreement East Penn School District and Foodcrafters Assocation ESP/PSEA/NEA of the East Penn School District
Status (FLSA): 10 month position, non-exempt, hourly
Reporting Relationships: Ascending Food Service Leader; descending - none
Position Summary: To assist in all areas of food service as assigned by the Coordinator or Leaders.
Qualifications: Possesses a valid Pennsylvania driver's license at all times
Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Is able to independently read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
- Ability to communicate courteously, efficiently and effectively with a variety of individuals, including students, staff, administrators, parents and representatives of outside organizations
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with peers, supervisors, parents and outside agencies
- Dependability, punctuality and initiative are essential
- Good personal hygiene
- Follow all HACCP and USDA food policies and regulations
- Maintain accurate and complete daily production records (meal counts, etc.)
- Rotation of all food service jobs as assigned daily including line prep, food prep, set up, cashier, clean up, dish room, catering, server and stock room
- All other duties as assigned
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities
- Ability to independently ambulate in and around school buildings and office areas
- Ability to independently arrive at the designated work site and adhere to the established work schedule
- Can stand/walk for lengthy periods of time
