- Execute functional, performance, and regulatory testing of battery cells, modules, packs, electronics, and software during product development.
- Review and understand test procedures, collaborating with engineers to update as necessary
- Work with test and product engineers to commission new equipment, create test scripts, collect data, contribute to test reports, and provide feedback as necessary
- Create standard work instructions as required
- Support the maintenance and improvement of test equipment and facilities
- Support test facility cleanliness and organization goals
- Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
- Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
- Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in or graduated from college, trade school, or skilled trades program
- Hands-on industrial/technical/laboratory work or hobbyist experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience in battery cell, module, and/or pack level development or transportation powertrain testing
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Mechanical and electrical assembly, fabrication and hands-on skills
- Familiarity with CAN communication protocols, including Vector
- Experience with sensors, data acquisition and instrumentation
