East Mills is currently seeking to add a member to our kitchen staff team. East Mills Community School District is located in Malvern IA.
Hours are 9:00am-1:30pm
Starting pay is $12.57

Qualifications:
- Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.
- Previous experience in preparing meals for large numbers of people.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to: Food Service Director
Job Goal: To provide courteous service and attractive nutritious meals to students and staff in a professional atmosphere of efficiency and cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses all kitchen equipment in a safe, proper and efficient manner.
- Prepares food according to a planned menu and tested, uniform recipes.
- Prepares silverware and trays for service.
- Serves food during scheduled meal times as directed.
- Daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment, lunch tables, and the washing and sterilizing of all dishes, trays, silverware, and utensils as directed.
- Assists the Food Service Director in menu planning, food preparation, and inventory as directed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds as part of the daily routine.
- Other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
- If requested, assume the duties of the Food Service Director in their absence.
- Maintains pleasant, friendly attitude toward all students and staff and retains flexibility to ensure efficient completion of all food preparation and clean up tasks.
Terms of Employment: Wages, hours, and work year to be determined by the Superintendent approved annually by the Board of Education.
Evaluation: To be evaluated annually by the Food Service Director and the Superintendent.
