Help someone find hope in the recovery process as an Awake Overnight Counselor.
East House has full-time Awake Overnight Counselor roles available in the residential support services program. This role would be working in a residential setting with up to 14 adults that are recovering from mental illness or substance dependency. The Awake Overnight Counselor must be skilled at encouraging and coaching clients through their recovery process with compassion and patience because it can sometimes be a slow process. Daily responsibilities for the Awake Overnight Counselor include but are not limited to overnight awake supervision and monitoring for safety and security, management of client medications, maintaining client safety, cleaning house and providing clerical support for other staff, and maintaining documentation standards.
Awake Overnight Counselor Compensation: The workplace culture at East House is focused on diversity and inclusion with the support of peers who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people they work with at East House. This is a non-exempt position starting at $19.00 per hour plus an overnight differential.

The schedule is three (3) - ten (10) hour shifts and then four (4) ten hour shifts that rotate with other staff. This is an overnight shift. Must be available holidays and weekends.
Awake Overnight Counselor Requirements: The Awake Overnight Counselor position at East House requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with some paid human service experience. Motor Vehicle license and safe driving record.
