Job Summary
The Kennel Manager position involves overseeing the daily operations of a pet care facility, ensuring the well-being of all animals under their care, and managing a team of kennel staff.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the kennel facility
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kennel areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the facility
- Provide basic animal care such as feeding, watering, and administering medications
- Coordinate grooming and bathing services for pets
- Assist with animal restraint and handling when necessary
- Manage inventory of pet supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
- Interact with pet owners to address any concerns or special requests
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a kennel setting
- Knowledge of pet care practices, animal behavior, and basic medical procedures
- Experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with staff and pet owners
- Ability to lead and supervise a team of kennel staff efficiently
