- Bachelors Degree
- Three to five years experience leading grant funded before/after school programs strongly preferred
- Experience in running before/after school programs or similar non-profit organization experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge and experience with budgeting, accounting and bookkeeping procedures

- Oversee direction of program for all out of school program sites.
- Oversee all Future Hornets programs.
- Draft grant proposals to ensure sustainability and expand District programs/offerings.
- Plan for and administer out of school programs during the school year and summer.
- Set high and measureable goals for student achievement and maintain current student data.
- Develop budgets and maintain projections and revisions.
- Collect program fees from all program sites on a weekly basis and provide accounting to the Business Office.
- Monitor staffing hours and costs and review all timesheets before submission to Payroll.
- Plan and conduct regular staff meetings.
- Oversee expenditures for supplies, materials and event costs purchased for all sites for all programs.
- Review and process purchase orders for all sites and program expenditures.
- Review inventory records for all sites on a regular basis.
- Schedule and attend all site visits with State Quality Advisors who oversee and monitor out of school programs.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with community partners including, but not limited to, Child Plan, YSB, YMCA and School Business Partnerships.
- Interface with Family Resource Center(s) and Office of Family and Community Partnership staff to offer services and parent programs to Crossroads and Future Hornets parents.
- Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with school and program staff.
- Create and/or review program flyers, program application forms, and parent letters.
- Negotiate with vendors for the best prices and secure vendors for all sites to ensure complete schedule of services.
- Draft MOUs and/or letters of agreement or contracts with community partners for Central Office approval and sign off.
- Communicate regularly with staff members, students, parents on the importance of the program.
- Interface with principal, teachers and instructional coaches in order to select students and develop individual curriculum goals.
- Monitor student behavior in consultation with site coordinator. Consult with parents if necessary.
- Meet with members of the media to showcase all out of school programs.
- Consult with principal to ensure strong support of the program.
- Develop relationships with Town/State officials to support the programs and arrange for visits.
- Interview candidates and make hiring recommendation.
- Train new staff members.
- Utilize the Cayan data system and assist data specialist as necessary.
- Use strategies to understand, manage and measure outcomes using student data and data management systems.
- Complete performance appraisals for staff members.
- Ensure the safety of all students and staff through adequate supervision.
- Perform fundraising and public relations functions.
- Develop a sustainability plan for all programs, including grant funding.
- Attend mandatory training workshops and meetings conducted by grantees, including all trainings offered by the CT After School Network.
- Meet with Site Coordinators regarding student’s entry/exit from the program.
- Complete all grant reports for the District and State as requested/required.
- Assume such other functions as may be determined.
