Credit & Underwriting Associate/Closing Agent (Full-Time)
Location: In-person
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment
Evaluate creditworthiness and assess risk on loan applications involving financing of commercial trucks, construction equipment, commercial and residential real estate, and vessels
Analyze financial documents and borrower data to determine loan eligibility and structure
Conduct thorough underwriting in line with company and regulatory standards
Identify red flags and mitigate potential risks through effective structuring
Collateral Valuation
Assess the value and liquidity of various collateral types, including commercial trucks, construction equipment, commercial and residential real estate, and vessels
Review appraisals, market comps, depreciation schedules, and condition reports to establish fair market and forced liquidation values
Coordinate with third-party appraisers, dealers, and asset managers as needed for valuation support
Evaluate title status, liens, and encumbrances to ensure collateral eligibility and legal enforceability
Factor asset quality, marketability, and location into risk-based loan structuring decisions
Maintain internal valuation benchmarks and contribute to the development of asset-specific LTV (loan-to-value) guidelines
Communication & Documentation
Work closely with internal teams, lenders, and clients to finalize deals
Clearly communicate underwriting decisions
Prepare complete, audit-ready underwriting files and documents
Ensure accuracy in term sheets, agreements, and promissory notes
Compliance & Process Management
Ensure all underwriting practices meet compliance standards
Stay current with industry trends and best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
2 years of underwriting or financial analysis experience (private credit/commercial lending a plus)
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, etc.)
Knowledge of loan documentation and compliance requirements
Sharp analytical and critical thinking abilities
Professional communication and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
