What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess Cashier position at East Coast Wings Grill?
Reports To: Restaurant General Manager
Primary Responsibilities: Greets, engages, and seats all Guests in a warm and friendly manner, making a Famous first impression. Assists in maintaining the overall Guest flow of the restaurant. As Guests are departing, inquire about their experience, thank them for dining with us, and invite them back. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Secondary Responsibilities: To perform duties including, but not limited to answering the phone, bussing tables, washing dishes, expediting orders, or running food. In short, whatever it takes to support our team.
- Greets, engages, and seats the Guest in a timely and controlled manner. Accommodates any special needs, (i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities, large parties, etc.). Opens doors for arriving and departing Guests.
Consistently explains features and limited time offerings.
- Manages the wit list as needed, quoting accurate wait times.
- Provide assistance to servers.
- Wipe tables, chairs, booths, benches, pick up debris off the floor.
- Maintains clean and organized work and entry areas, including windows and floors.
- Completes assigned cleaning duties including emptying trashcans and verifying and maintaining clean restrooms every 30 minutes.
- Restocks service items as needed, (i.e., glasses, ice, etc.) and cleans areas as needed.
- Understands and accurately uses the POS system to process/input orders.
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous host or restaurant experience preferred.
- Reading, writing, basic math, and superior communication skills required.
- Pride in personal appearance.

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods for scheduled shift. Must be able to move up ardown stairs. Must be able to Lift pots and pans, trays, bus pans, cases of beer, boxes, materials weighing pounds or more.
