Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, taking inventory, keeping records and organizing for the shipping of merchandise examined or stored in the warehouse. Employees will also be responsible for operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including:

• Filling and shipping customer orders.
• Ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation.
• Receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel.
• Ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged.

• Receiving quality control

• Checking that the materials coming in house are correct per the manifest and

without defects.

• Supervise personnel in department to effectively motivate, delegate and monitor activities, performance and safety
• Provide on going floor support and troubleshoot issues throughout the day
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with associates, peers and managers
• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and prepare reports as required.
• Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment and requesting repairs

when they are necessary.

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, floors, and work stations

neat and clean.

• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

Instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to meet physical requirements including:

• A variety of standing and walking throughout the day.
• Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves.
• Regular lifting of 20-30 pounds and occasional lifting of 50 pounds.
• Exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.

• Basic math skills
• Ability to multi task and work within deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and one year warehouse or related experience.
