What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator position at East Coast Warehouse & Distribution?
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Transportation team as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of freight with the highest level of accuracy and quality. You will work within established guidelines to ensure that our customers' freight is handled efficiently and on time.
- Process drivers at check-in window, ensuring correctness of freight documentation such as bill of ladings.
- Prints the drivers' manifest and provide any hazardous materials bills of lading to the appropriate personnel when needed.
- Verify delivery receipts and signatures.
- Scan bills of lading and driver receipts into system for billers to access.
- Handles and processes checks, COD's, or cash as needed and stows money safely (Varies by location).
- Verifies and handles driver collects and COD's (varies by location).
- Verifies and/or records any cash or check payments.
- Enter exception Delivery Receipts process on any/all pro numbers manually.
- Communicate with warehouse and customer service personnel for any exceptions.
- Answers phones, sets appointments, and traces shipments as necessary
- Work assigned shift as needed, must be available to work depending on customer pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Administrative responsibilities such as filing, data entry, and system updates.
