POSITION: EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
The Equipment Mechanic must have experience in working with medium-to heavy equipment as well as gas and diesel vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working knowledge of shop equipment, wiring, and hydraulics
- Perform minor repairs independently with accuracy and efficiency
- Diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs as directed by a supervisor
- Assist in major repairs and collaborate with other technicians
- Conduct road tests when required
- Make sure work tickets are completed with all pertinent information
- Maintain accurate records for warranty claims and repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery
- Function well in a team environment and contribute to a safe and productive work culture
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manor
- Maintain facility via housekeeping duties
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management
- Reports directly to the Lead Mechanic
- Pay commensurate with experience
REQUIREMENTS:
· Authorized to work in the United States
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment when necessary
· Familiarity with power tools and their safe usage
· Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
· Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
· Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues
· Knowledge of farm machinery
· Must have a valid Drivers License
· CDL Class A preferred, not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
