- Assist with daily bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction recording using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoice processing to support timely payments and collections.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to verify account balances align with supporting documentation.
- Support payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in financial report writing, including preparing summaries for management review and supporting audit processes.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, including debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation activities.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools; experience with Quicken is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting procedures.
- Experience with governmental accounting standards and tax experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation efficiently.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and account analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating across departments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new financial software and tools while maintaining high accuracy standards.
