We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in generator troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance with a focus on small engines, mid-size liquid cooled engines, and larger scale gas/ diesel engines. We don't require someone who checks every box completely, but a well rounded background knowledge of all areas is desired. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, liquid-cooled and air-cooled generators, and automotive equipment.Utilize schematics and product manuals to diagnose and repair any and all issues with the unit you are working on.Operate power tools safely and efficiently to carry out repairs.Conduct heavy lifting as required for equipment handling and installation.Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. SkillsProficient in heavy lifting techniques and safe handling of equipment.Strong understanding of schematics related to machinery and electrical systems.Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation in a workshop environment.Background in automotive repair is a plus.Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.Knowledge of equipment repair processes, particularly for generators.Must be able to use a tablet/ laptop and ability to keep detailed notes on repairs and communicate to service manager and customers.Must be able to troubleshoot issues in the field and determine the best course of action to repair.Critical thinking and the ability to overcome obstacles in the field by yourself.
