The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing vendor relationships and tracking orders.Compensation & BenefitsWe value our team and offer a competitive compensation and benefits package:$22 – $26 per hour (based on experience)Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) PlanPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysScheduleMonday – Friday7:30 AM – 3:30 PMLocation25 Deforest StreetAmityville, NY 11701Key ResponsibilitiesCreate purchase orders from sales ordersSubmit purchase orders to vendorsTrack vendor shipment dates and follow up on delaysEstablish positive working relationships with our vendors and internal sales teams.Confirm shipment status on or after estimated ship datesVerify billing and shipping informationReview part numbers, pricing, quantities, and descriptions for accuracyCoordinate with warehouse staff to match deliveries with purchase orders and resolve discrepanciesFollow up on order acknowledgements and variancesProcess new part number requestsMonitor open orders to ensure timely deliveryPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred)Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar roleStrong understanding of supply chain and procurement proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing softwareExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamWe look forward to receiving your resume and welcoming a new team member who is ready to grow with us!
