Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, faculty, staff, and students while coordinating daily operations and facilitating effective
communication between various stakeholders within an educational environment.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Dean, faculty, staff, and students.
- Manage schedules and coordinate appointments.
- Prepare and process travel forms and expense reports.
- Maintain and order office and educational supplies.
- Enter and maintain course schedules.
- Process requisitions and/or invoices for department expenditures.
- Coordinate events including awards ceremonies and meetings.
- Handle correspondence and communications.
- Maintain organized records and filing systems.
- Assist with budget management and ProCard reporting.
- Assist with development of departmental reports.
- Assist with inverntory and fixed asset management.
- Create various documents including flyers, programs, and certificates.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software applications
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated customer service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Proven time management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in complex situations
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to take initiative and make decisions within scope of authority
- Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example
- Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
- Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
