JOB TITLE: Advancement/Marketing Director
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
East Boston Central Catholic School is looking to hire an Advancement/Marketing Director who will carry out the development activities required to achieve the financial & marketing goals of the school; ensures that the goals are adequately articulated and that a long-range plan is in place; oversees the coordination of the fundraising programs; works cooperatively with the school leadership team to develop positive public relations within and outside the school community; coordinates communication with the school board and benefactors of the school; performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by the principal.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Carry out the development activities to achieve the goals of the school:
●Implements a long-range development plan (calendar), ensuring goals are set and regularly monitored and reported to the school leadership team.
●Work closely with Alumni to maintain alumni contacts, create activities that Alumni would be interested in participating in, and establish better rapport with possible alumni donors.
●Directs and implements the school’s annual fundraising and development plan, including the execution of fundraising events (such as but not limited to, Annual Appeal, Christmas Fair, Gala, Golf Tournament)
●Researches potential grant opportunities and oversees written grant proposals from faculty, staff, and parent groups.
●Works with the webmaster to keep public relations information and alumni information up to date on the web page.
●Plans and arranges for donor recognition.
●Oversees record keeping, acknowledgements, solicitation reports, and all correspondence as it relates to development.
●Provides for accurate computerized financial records of development activities.
●Maintains an interest in the local community and fosters school participation when possible and appropriate.
●Works with the school leadership to develop positive public relations within and outside the school community.
●Execute a comprehensive marketing and communications plan for the School, which will encompass outreach, engagement, and stewardship goals in alignment with strategic goals for enrollment, development, community and corporate relations, overall brand and marketing management, alumni and donor engagement, school and parish relations, and other key related activities.
●Performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by the principal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
●Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Non-Profit Development or related field.
●2 years of experience in development.
●Proven experience in development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
●Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
●Experience in developing and implementing advancement strategies.
●Passion for the school's mission and commitment to serving the community.
●Must clear all background checks and complete training programs, including but not limited to, fingerprints, CORI, VIRTUS training, Strong Start Training, and 51A mandated reported training.
