Summary
The E-Commerce Operations Specialist supports the daily success of East Bay Restaurant Supply’s online business by ensuring smooth order flow, accurate data management, and exceptional customer communication. This role bridges the gap between customers and internal teams—handling online inquiries, maintaining product listings in Shopify, entering orders in NetSuite, and coordinating fulfillment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer phone calls, chats, and online inquiries.
- Accurately enter and update sales orders, customer details, and notes in NetSuite ERP.
- Maintain pricing, product descriptions, and availability across the Shopify storefront.
- Track order progress, follow up with customers, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to support order fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce errors, and enhance the customer experience.
- Support online sales growth initiatives through process improvements and upselling opportunities.
Qualifications
- Attention to Detail: Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy in order entry and online store maintenance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for both customer interactions and internal coordination.
- Initiative: The role requires a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and follows through without constant supervision.
- Technical Skills: Must have good typing and data entry skills; familiarity with NetSuite and Shopify is highly preferred.
