Practical Nursing Instructor

University of Arkansas - East Arkansas Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of LPN Instructor.

Position Responsibilities:

• Meet all the job responsibilities for instructor as outlined in the UAEACC Employee Handbook and the Nursing Faculty handbook
• Adhere to the CEU requirements for nurse licensure per ASBN
• Maintain BLS-CPR Certification
• Lecture concepts of the curriculum as decided by the chairperson after discussion of strengths
• Provide direct supervision of students in the campus laboratory, simulation lab and clinical settings
• Participate in maintaining equipment and supply inventory
• Participate in written evaluations of students in both theory through examinations and assignments, and in practice through written assignments and clinical evaluations
• Assist in administering the philosophy, objectives, and guidelines of the program as outlined in the PN program
• Attend all required faculty meetings
• Complete duties as outlined in the Nursing Faculty Orientation Handbook
• Other duties as assigned

Minimal Qualifications:

• An Associate Degree with RN credentials is required, BSN preferred
• At least one year of experience in nursing field
