POSITION SUMMARY
- The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to patients varying in age and mental health diagnosis. The clinical therapist should have appropriate writing/documentation skills and ability to work well with treatment team members. The clinical therapist maintains confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited program
Minimum Experience
- 1-2 years formal work experience
- Relevant clinical experience through employment and/or practicum and internship will be considered
Required Registration/License/Certification
- BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
- CPI within 12 months of DOH/Transfer
- Preferred Education
- Master’s Degree from an accredited program
Preferred Experience
- 2-3 years formal experience, that includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, and also with individuals with serious mental illness.
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Preferred Registration/License/Certification
- Licensed or licensed-eligible as a Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker in Alabama
