JOB SUMMARY: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Forklift Operators are responsible for supporting warehouse operations by loading and unloading shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are stored and transported in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials and merchandise from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Move, stack, and organize products in designated warehouse locations.
- Verify product quantities, labels, and condition during movement and storage.
- Track and document shipment arrival and departure times.
- Inspect equipment daily and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Tag, label, and stock merchandise according to size, shape, and type.
- Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Enter data into inventory and logistics software programs.
- Follow all OSHA, GMP, Quality, and company safety policies and standards.
- Record and report damaged, missing, or impaired merchandise.
- All other warehouse duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience preferred.
- Prior experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
- Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management software a plus.
- Prior experience following OSHA and workplace safety standards.
