Duties
- Plant, prune, and maintain a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, trimming, edging, and landscape installation
- Implement irrigation systems to optimize water use and promote plant health across different landscape projects
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, fertilizing plants, weed control, and soil preparation
- Assist with greenhouse operations by managing plant propagation, transplanting seedlings, and monitoring environmental conditions
- Support farming activities related to landscape development including soil testing, planting schedules, and crop rotation when applicable
- Collaborate with team members to design new landscape features or improve existing outdoor spaces while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance with a strong understanding of plant care and landscape design principles
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, greenhouse management, lawn care techniques, and sustainable farming practices
- Familiarity with gardening tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers
- Hands-on experience in landscaping projects including planting beds, turf installation, or garden layout planning
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail and safety protocols
- Strong teamwork skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with colleagues
