Role: Sr. Sales Consultant - Commercial Solar and Storage
Position Overview: Earthlight Technologies is seeking an experienced Commercial Solar Sales Consultant to join our team. Our team of Sales Consultants drive Earthlight's business forward by working to acquire new customers, nurture existing customers, and maximize customer experience. Successful candidates work well independently, whether on the road, at home, or in office, and ideally would be located within reasonable proximity to our Ellington headquarters to be able to attend regular sales meetings and training. We are looking for a driven, personable, enthusiastic, and flexible individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can leverage our multiple business lines to meet our customers' needs. Eligible candidates should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of inquiries by efficiently managing time and expectations. Candidate with real world experience and demonstrated success will enjoy a highly competitive compensation structure, benefits package, and significant room for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Business to Business Outside Sales with a strong focus on Commercial Solar and Energy Storage (and the flexibility to also sell EV/Energy Efficiency solutions)
- Generating and actively maintaining a pipeline of prospective customers
- Responding to and qualifying companyprovided leads
- Conducting site visits, preparing and presenting proposals to high level executives
- Leading customer contract negotiations, with legal support as needed, to help close deals
- Maintaining sales progress and teamwide communication through the company CRM
- Acting as company liaison with customers throughout sales process and beyond
- Staying up to date on legislative and regulatory developments which impact our industry
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
- 3 years or more previous commercial solar sales experience required, 5 years preferred
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills a must
- Familiarity with negotiating solar PPA and Lease contracts strongly preferred
- Experience effectively running sales presentations both in person and via virtual platforms (MS Teams)
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office, MS Teams, and CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
- Passion for renewables, selfstarter mentality and an internal drive to succeed
- Flexibility to occasionally work evening and Saturday appointments as needed
Compensation: $100,000 - $250,000 OTE
