Job description

ERC is looking for Candidates with Leadership, Safety, Quality & Production as a Mindset... We are a busy construction civil firm hiring dedicated construction Operators & Laborers to join our Asphalt / Paving crew. Depending on the tasks to be filled, you may be asked to perform several functions throughout the day. You’ll report to a project superintendent and have the opportunity to work at various sites to prepare the ground for construction. This hands-on role requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Complete tasks as directed by the Foreman promptly.
• Maintain and clean work areas.
• Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required.
• Able to work and assist others to work safely within the guidelines of the company's policies.
• Operate Paving Equipment and/ or Labor.
• Set up Paver, Screed, and Rollers
• Match all paver joints and maintain consistency.
• Assist in patching asphalt.
• Ability to drive and operate equipment under varying working conditions.

Requirements:

• Prior experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• 10-hour shift
• Home daily
• Per Diem for out-of-town projects
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime pay
