Location & Requirements (Please Read First)

This is an in-person position based in the greater Indianapolis area and is best suited for someone already embedded in the Indianapolis landscape architecture community. We are only considering local candidates at this time.

Applicants must hold a degree in Landscape Architecture. Candidates without this qualification will not be considered.

We are a small team and hire intentionally. We are patient in finding the right person and prioritize long-term fit over speed.

About Us

We are a design-led landscape architecture firm focused on bringing clarity to complex landscapes through thoughtful design, detailed documentation, and early decision-making.

We work across a range of project types and are actively growing our presence in commercial and other non-residential work, alongside large-scale estate planning projects. We equally value design quality, organization, accountability, and follow-through.

We are a small, close-knit team that values calm focus, creativity, reliability, and people who genuinely care about doing good work.

We care deeply about creating a professional, engaging, and highly collaborative work environment where people are respected, challenged, and supported.

We are continually refining our systems, communication, project management, and design process in an effort to improve and operate at a high level. This is a team for someone who enjoys growth, accountability, and being surrounded by people who are motivated to get better.

The Role

We are looking for a Landscape Designer with 3–5 years of experience who is thoughtful, organized, and motivated to contribute meaningfully to a highly collaborative studio environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative problem solving and the technical side of project execution. You should be comfortable moving between design development, documentation, coordination, and production work across a variety of project types.

We are especially interested in someone who naturally brings tenacity — someone who follows through, stays engaged, and helps move projects forward consistently.

What You’ll Do

• Work on a mix of residential, commercial, and other non-residential projects

• Assist with concept development, site planning, and design detailing

• Produce plans, presentation graphics, and construction documentation

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and consultants

• Support project organization, internal coordination, and production flow

• Participate in site visits, field verification, and construction administration

• Contribute to projects that require both creativity and technical precision

What Matters to Us

• You are reliable, accountable, and follow through

• You take ownership of your work and communicate clearly

• You stay organized and bring structure to moving projects

• You can balance creativity with production and execution

• You are disciplined with deadlines and priorities

• You contribute positively to a calm, focused, highly productive office environment

• You are collaborative, easy to work with, and strengthen the team around you

• You are engaged, curious, and motivated to improve

Working Style

Our team would be a great fit for someone who naturally bring combinations of the following strengths:

• Tenacity – finishing work and pushing things across the line

• Invention – generating ideas and creative solutions

• Discernment – strong judgment and decision-making

• Galvanizing – helping create momentum and move work forward

Tenacity is especially important for this role. People who stay engaged, take initiative, follow through, and help move projects forward consistently tend to do very well here.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture (required)

• 3–5 years of professional experience

• Experience working on residential and commercial project types

• Strong graphic, organizational, and technical skills

• Ability to contribute to both design and documentation

• Experience producing clear, detailed drawing sets

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with construction detailing, coordination, and project workflows

• Proficiency in industry-standard software
