We have exciting opportunities available across multiple preschools, daycares, and childcare centers in District Heights, Camp Springs, and surrounding areas. We are hiring for both Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers across our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms.
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Interact affectionately and respectfully with children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate professionally and warmly with children, families, and peers
- Collaborate effectively with other teachers and school staff members
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures while supervising the children at all times
Teacher Qualifications (all teaching positions):
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a daycare, childcare center, preschool, or similar child care setting
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- All candidates must meet Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements for their role
Education Requirements:
- Lead Teachers: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field required, with the intention of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree
- Teachers/Assistant Teachers: Associate's Degree (or currently enrolled and working toward it), a CDA credential , Maryland childcare credential, or related MSDE teaching certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of classroom experience in a childcare center, preschool, or Head Start program
- Experience developing lesson plans, leading classrooms, and engaging with families about child development
- Familiarity with Head Start program standards and Maryland MSDE regulations
