Hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday thru Friday with one hour for lunch
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teachers to join our nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering the development and well-being of children in our care. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and growth for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs that cater to the developmental needs of children from infancy through preschool.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional development.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents that occur.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
Experience
Must have 45 hrs DCF required
- A background in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- CPR/first aid training preferred or willing to obtain it within 30 days of being hired.
- Experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers or preschools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential.
- Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage children in meaningful activities are crucial.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while maintaining high standards of child welfare and safety.
- Manage classroom routines including circle time, play-based learning activities, nap schedules, and meal times with effective classroom management strategies.
- Use behavior management techniques to guide positive behavior and support emotional regulation among toddlers.
- Collaborate with families through regular communication about each child's progress, milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education practices, and early intervention strategies.
