Early Spark Academy is a Reggio Emilia–inspired early learning center where children learn through play, inquiry, and meaningful relationships.
We are seeking a thoughtful and intentional Lead Toddler Teacher who is passionate about supporting young learners and creating a classroom where children’s ideas, curiosity, and growth are valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement child-led, project-based learning aligned with Michigan standards (GSRP readiness preferred)
- Use documentation (photos, notes, observations) to help make learning visible
- Facilitate small groups, explorations, and meaningful interactions
- Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that supports independence and learning
- Partner with co-teachers and families through clear, respectful communication
- Ensure compliance with licensing, ratios, and health/safety standards
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in a preschool/Pre-K classroom
- Strong understanding of:
- Child development
- Classroom management
- Lesson planning beyond worksheets
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with Reggio Emilia, HighScope, Montessori, or GSRP
- Experience with documentation and assessment tools
- Ability to support and collaborate with assistant teachers
